Mr. Summer has over 27 years of experience with electronic security systems in justice facilities. This specialized effort has been full time with no gaps. The result is over 50 completed projects with most over $50M in construction value. He has also supported the firm’s other engineers and designers with technical and project management issues on numerous other projects. Mr. Summer has also conducted a number of studies to assist agencies with planning for improvements and operational changes. He helped the Federal Bureau of Prisons develop standards for their electronic security systems. A number of projects have involved system upgrades and interfacing new construction with existing facilities. He enjoys problem solving and troubleshooting and understands the importance of system reliability and maintainability. Mr. Summer’s early experience was in the nuclear power industry, and he has utilized that early experience to bring high standards to justice facility design.
