Development of a new Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) computing infrastructure is being undertaken by the Michigan State Police. As the State’s Quality Assurance contractor, Buford Goff & Associates, Inc. provided technical support and quality assurance services for the development of an EAI infrastructure. The successful migration from the current mainframe based computing environment to a server-based EAI infrastructure will provide State agencies the ability to share information regardless of computing platforms, program languages, operating schedules, or location of applications and/or databases. BGA was an active project participant in the areas of quality assurance, project management, database migration and the definition of technical specifications to promote the production build-out of EAI and the applications it will initially support.
